Multimedia Designer

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Multimedia Designer to join our Creative Services team. Working in partnership with Accela's production team, the person in this position will develop graphics and animation for web-based video programs, delivered in our market leading AccelaCast platform. The multimedia designer will excel at communicating abstract and complex concepts using carefully designed graphic imagery in support of our client's messaging in Technology, Health Care, Financial Services and other industries. This person will be responsible for the creation of a broad variety of digital media design projects from concept through final production and generate high quality, innovative artwork within budget and deadlines specific to each project.

The Multimedia Designer will utilize the latest in industry standard graphic design tools such as Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects as well as proprietary tools developed by Accela. This person will report to the Creative Director, work under the direction of the Senior Designers, and interact closely with the Project Managers/Producers on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

Design and create innovative and effective graphics and animation.
Create multimedia content by combining graphics, text and digital audio/video.
Confirm design concepts by preparing storyboards and illustrations; constructing prototypes.
Design and develop interactive content and graphic user interfaces.
Create design concepts by studying and analyzing communication goals and objectives; analyzing customer requirements; developing the visual style of presentations.
Determine illustration style, color palettes, typography, and screen layouts.
Enhance Creative Services team reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements:

BS or BA degree
3+ years of design experience
Expertise in design theory and proficiency in applying it to motion-graphic design
Advanced skills and experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash
Intermediate skills and experience in Actionscript and After Effects
Experience with Avid Media Composer a plus.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Able to produce highly accurate and detailed work.
