Bill Reinstein -President and CEO |
| As President and CEO since 1999, Bill Reinstein built Accela Communications from the ground up, creating the industry's leading on-demand rich media platform and bundling it with unparalleled web response management tools and other services that set the company apart. He was also the founding Publisher of ITworld.com, which has grown into an entire network of sites focused on information technology. Bill is widely quoted by the press about the evolution of webcasting and on-demand rich media, and in 2001 was named one of the '40 most influential people' in the publishing field by Folio Magazine. In 2003, Bill led a successful management buy-out of the company from International Data Group (IDG) that allowed the business to grow into a variety of new market segments outside of IT. Prior to founding Accela Communications, Bill spent nine years at Network World, Inc., an IDG company, as Senior Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Bill led the development and management of all non-print advertising revenue and served as the founding publisher for NetworkWorld.com, which remains the leading online resource for network IT professionals. Prior to joining Network World, Bill was President and co-founder of Help Wanted On-Line, Inc., an early pioneer in the online recruitment advertising and candidate management field. Bill has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and is active in a range of industry and charitable organizations. |
Rich Mikita -COO |
| Rich Mikita is the Chief Operating Officer of Accela Communications where he has been chief architect of the company's interactive product set since 1999, leading the engineering and publishing teams through an evolution that is unparalleled in the webcasting services industry. He joined the company at its inception after leaving Meta Group, where he was brought in as V.P., Interactive Publications to develop multimedia versions of analyst content. There, he spearheaded the development of CD-ROM and web-based research deliverables and was involved in launching the MetaView Daily Audio Briefing, which mushroomed into a repository of over 500 analyst interviews. For 16 years, he led the design and development of market research databases and interactive products for various business units within International Data Group (IDG). Rich designed Computerworld's Buyers Database, conceived Computerworld's Market MindShare studies, and led an active research program in IT buyer and brand dynamics in a wide range of hardware and software markets. He also directed the development of www.computerworld.com, a leading source of news, perspective, and resources for enterprise IT professionals. As an IT professional himself for four years, Rich directed the Administrative Information Center on the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses of Indiana University. Rich holds a B.A. from Rutgers University, an M.A. from Indiana University and has done post-graduate work at the University of California, Berkeley. |

| As vice president of finance and chief financial officer, Ed Pierce is focused on managing the finance, accounting, tax, legal, human resources and advertising operations of the company. Ed has more than 26 year's experience in senior roles in large global organizations and rapid growth companies and has experience growing companies organically and through acquisition. In his career he has been involved in nearly fifty acquisition and divestiture transactions, all of which contribute to his success in helping this company thrive in the early stages of development. Ed is a Certified Public Accountant and was a manager with one of the Big Four Public Accounting Firms. He joined Accela Communications in 2001, following his most recent role as president and chief financial officer of MHA event services, a tradeshow company that produced industry leading shows including MacWorld, Comnet and the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Ed has a B.S. from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. from Babson College. |
Clare O'Brien -VP of Sales |
| As vice president of sales, Clare O'Brien provides strategic guidance and tactical skill to strengthen customer and partner relationships. In this role, Clare is responsible for leading her team in identifying and creating new opportunities that deliver business value for customers. She has been with Accela Communications' since its inception and during that time has led a sales team that has turned in record sales growth, turning the company into a rapidly growing and profitable enterprise. During her tenure, Clare has evolved the use of B2B webcasting from an unfamiliar marketing tool to a critical element of a successful media strategy and has formed many strategic relationships with industry leaders and advertising agencies. She previously spent more than nine years at Network World, an International Data Group (IDG) company, selling both print and online media. Clare is a member of the BIMA (Boston Interactive Media Association) Executive Board, an organization whose mission is to create valuable educational and social settings, uniting those committed to the advancement of interactive advertising and marketing. |
Jeff Bodenmann -VP of Partner Development |
| Jeff Bodenmann joined Accela Communications to spearhead the development of the Certified Partner Programs, including both audience partners and product resellers. Jeff has identified and successfully developed a series of strategic alliances that have diversified and driven company growth into new markets, including Publishing, IT, Finance, Healthcare/Medical Sciences and others. In this role, Jeff works with companies to add on-demand rich media and web response management to their own product portfolio to generate additional revenue streams. Jeff started out in the agency business where he worked on classic brands like Ivory Soap and Kodak Film. He joined the Marketing Services Division of International Data Group (IDG) in 1994, and for the next seven years represented IDG corporately to their top-tier clients. Managing the global IBM business for 5 years, Jeff worked with IDG business units around the world creating the first Corporate Global Contract -- the largest in IDG history. |

| As VP of Healthcare and National Accounts, Bob Whiting works closely with strategic partners and clients in Healthcare and other markets to help them develop profitable and successful interactive programs from the ground up. Bob's 18 years of professional selling experience, with 10 years in interactive media sales and business development, enables him to provide the tactical and strategic insight needed to deploy on-demand rich media using cutting edge production and platform techniques. He joined Accela Communications in 1999 to help launch ITworld.com and since that time has contributed to the growth of the company through various roles in sales and business development, particularly in the area of Healthcare/Medical Sciences. Prior to joining Accela Communications, Bob was Inside Sales Manager at The AdSmart Network (CMGi). Bob is a graduate of Boston College, spends his time outside of work life with his wife and kids, and also enjoys skiing, golf, acoustic guitar playing, and BC Eagles football. |

| Since she joined the company in 1999, Ann Roskey has capitalized on 20 years of interactive marketing and product management experience to bring Accela Communications' products, services and identity from inception, to well-known brands in the interactive media community. These efforts have helped establish the company's reputation as the leading on-demand rich media provider. Additionally, her audience development team has developed a finely tuned promotional process that has resulted in a superb track record of lead delivery and a high level of customer confidence. Before joining Accela Communications, Ann was the founding director of NetworkWorld.com, the highly successful and exclusive web site for network professionals. There, she helped grow this members-only web site to nearly 200,000 registered users, as well as launch an email newsletter service that has been replicated by many other business units within International Data Group (IDG). Under her direction, NetworkWorld.com was the first and only web site in the technology publishing industry to successfully complete a BPA International registered user database audit. |
Doug Loyer -VP of Engineering |
| As VP of Engineering, Doug Loyer is responsible for all software development and IT infrastructure for the company. Most importantly, he leads the Accela Communication's development team to create world-class multimedia and web response management products with the highest levels of quality, performance, reliability and security. Doug's team also manages Accela Communication's multiple data centers, networking infrastructure, databases and servers. Prior to joining Accela Communications in 2000, Doug managed software development teams at Gensym and Atex Media Solutions. Overall, he has more than fifteen years of experience in product development, project management and consulting in the publishing, finance, manufacturing, telecommunications, and aerospace industries for companies such as Motorola, Ford, AT&T and the US Department of Energy. |
Betsy Bellar -VP of Production |
| In her role, Betsy Bellar is responsible for the production, publishing and feature development for all on-demand rich media programming as well as the ITworld.com Site Network. Working closely with the Engineering group, her team has developed a webcast production process that is high quality, flexible and customer oriented, leading to an unprecedented level of repeat customers. Before joining Accela Communications, Betsy was the assistant director of production for Harvard Business School Publishing. There, she led efforts to select and architect a digital content library system, select a digital rights management partner, and numerous electronic-book projects. At the Online Computer Library Center in Dublin, Ohio, Betsy held several positions over the course of thirteen years. As Manager of the Electronic Publishing Special Interest group (EPSIG) she was active in setting electronic publishing standards in a joint venture with the Association of American Publishers. |
