About GRAPPA

GRAPPA (Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis) is organized exclusively for non-profit, educational, and scientific purposes, specifically to facilitate sharing of information related to psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, networking among different medical disciplines that see psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients and to enhance research, diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

The Video Project

ABOUT THIS PROJECT
This project is the result of an international collaboration between GRAPPA's dermatologists and rheumatologists with expertise in the assessment of psoriatic disease and Accela Communications. Together we have produced a set of multi-media presentations intended to train the user on clinical measures of psoriasis, psoriatic nail disease, and psoriatic arthritis commonly used in the study setting.

RATIONALE FOR CLINICAL ASSESSMENT TRAINING MODULES
There is tremendous need and demand for training of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis trial endpoints. Many investigators obtain their training during fellowships or apprenticeships with experienced investigators or at pharmaceutical industry-sponsored investigator meetings for clinical drug trials. Training modules developed for investigator meetings, such as those for PASI or NAPSI, are not widely available. For clinical drug trials for psoriatic arthritis, most training occurs during patient demonstrations at investigator meetings similar to those for rheumatoid arthritis; however, training for newer assessment tools such as those for enthesitis and dactylitis is also not widely available.

Each module has two parts: an instructional portion and a certification portion. The certification portion consists of three patient examples for practice scoring. To receive credit for completion, enter all scores where prompted. Once your scores are entered, a "Certificate of Completion" for that module will be produced. Please print and sign the certificate. Save a copy for your records, and provide a copy to the sponsor. After completion of the modules, you may return to the modules at any point to review any portion desired.
