Accela Communications Produces On-Demand Rich Media FocalPoint Site for AVST

Case study profiles how online video content and resources were utilized to foster prospect conversation, feedback and lead generation

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA – April 23, 2007 Accela Communications, the leading on-demand rich media services provider, announced the release of a multimedia content destination site, created for Applied Voice & Speech Technologies, Inc. (AVST) a leading provider of unified communications solutions. The rich media site which is called a FocalPoint, was designed to offer IT professionals a complete spectrum of information on Unified Messaging, in an environment that enables AVST to garner visibility and gather intelligence from site visitors while educating them at a time when they are in the research and evaluation mode. This approach allows AVST to bring the personality and expertise of the company to life through the use of sight, sound and motion all in one central location. A case study profiling the project is availabe at the Accela Communications web site.

“We are committed to finding new and better ways to communicate the valuable benefits of our products and programs to our channel partners and customers,” said AVST Vice President of Marketing, Denny Michael.  “The use of on-demand rich media and video is an important medium for engaging prospects and establishing solid relationships early in the buying cycle. Through this program, designed and deployed with Accela Communications, we were able to leverage on-demand video programming in multiple site and banner formats and incorporate high quality video and comprehensive analytics into our educational approach to communicating the benefits of unified communications to the masses.”

Bill Reinstein, President/CEO of Accela Communications further stated, “Online video is one of the fastest growing mediums being used by corporate marketers today. Appropriately designed programs can leverage rich media content in multiple formats to increase awareness and secure early returns on investment. This can be accomplished with a robust rich media platform and service provider that is willing to work with companies during the development stage to provide creative input, feedback and guidance during the production process.”

The creative services and production teams relied on leveraging rich media that would ultimately be repurposed and delivered in multiple venues to increase the value of the content created, as well as return on investment. The FocalPoint site also included new content submitted by AVST on a quarterly basis in the form of white papers, case studies and other resource links.

To qualify the audience and generate the information needed for follow-up, a one-time registration form was placed in front of the high-value content. Over the course of the program, valuable registrations were captured via the AccelaWorks web response management system and distributed to AVST’s channel partners for follow-up. Key preliminary statistics from the program include:

  • 86 percent tuned in to the programs because of an interest in Unified Messaging solutions, Unified Communications, Voice Mail or Speech.
  • 14 percent of registered viewers were actively looking for a solution

Using the AccelaCast technology, the programs were embedded in one location to make them easily accessible and to extend the life of previously produced content. To view the AVST FocalPoint Site, please visit http://www.accelacast.com/avst_focalpoint/
