HealthHIV Reaches Educational Milestone with On-Demand Video Series Delivered by AccelaCast Interactive Platform

Accelacast platform supports healthcare education initiative to expand outreach via web technology

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA – June 30, 2010 Accela Communications Inc., a leading marketing technology company and HealthHIV, one of the nation’s largest HIV non-profits, produced and delivered an interactive video series as part of HealthHIV’s web communications initiative. The results of this series have met and exceeded goals by reaching an unprecedented number of viewers, bringing knowledge and empowerment to HIV care providers. The AccelaCast platform is increasingly being used by healthcare and medical sciences organizations to deliver interactive video programs on-demand through their web sites, to disseminate information to broader audiences and capture feedback and measurement criteria to determine outcomes.

HealthHIV’s web video initiative incorporates problem-solving techniques for organizations providing HIV care with highly specialized information and resources to optimize their services. Topics in the series range from a broad overview of services, to early assessment, cultural competency, case management and optimizing care teams. Viewers are encouraged to submit questions to HealthHIV’s staff and provide feedback via online evaluation surveys. All AccelaCast programs feature extensive search capabilities, printable transcripts, and navigation tools to help viewers quickly identify the content most important to them.

“The HealthHIV video series has exceeded our expectations for expanding our reach,” said Brian Hujdich, HealthHIV Executive Director. “And Accela’s interactive technology has helped us surpass those early goals.”

“Our clients, particularly in the Healthcare communications area, are increasingly interested in using our interactive technology and services to build programs in a format that allows for feedback and can be measured to determine the effectiveness of that outreach,” said Bill Reinstein President and CEO of Accela Communications. We’re thrilled to be working with HealthHIV and will continue to provide them with a highly flexible software platform to attract and engage their audiences, along with the ability to actually measure results – a key component of success,” commented Bill Reinstein, CEO and President of Accela Communications. “Choosing a partner that can provide a consistently high quality end-user experience is critical to the success of any online video initiative. “
