Pri-Med Partners with Accela Communications to Offer Powerful Combination of Interactive Video Delivered to Physician Audience

Partnership expands availability of media-rich content for physicians on pri-med.com

BOSTON, MA – June 3, 2009 Today, M|C Communications LLC, the owner of the Pri-Med brand, announces its partnership with Accela Communications, Inc. to offer Healthcare communications companies the opportunity to post interactive video and rich media programming for the Pri-Med physician audience on pri-med.com. Under the terms of the agreement, Accela Communications is now authorized to deliver their interactive video production and platform and measurement services on pri-med.com.

Physician engagement in online activity is soaring, particularly in video, increasing 54% since 2004.  While online, 86% of physicians participate in electronic CME.  In order to continue to meet this growing demand, the Pri-Med and Accela Communications partnership will bring more compelling, media rich content to Pri-Med’s robust, qualified audience of clinicians.

“I am very proud of the relationship we have with Pri-Med,” said Bob Whiting, Vice President/Healthcare Solutions Group, Accela Communications. “We’ve been working together for over 2 years and during that time, we’ve seen our relationship strategically develop.  Now, together, we have a powerful combination to bring to the market: our AccelaCast rich media platform, plus Pri-Med’s high-quality audience.”

“We are looking forward to continued success working with Accela Communications,” said Alisa Wilke, Group Director, New Media Strategy & Business Development, Pri-Med.  “We are excited to expand the pri-med.com platform to include third party content.  Working with Accela Communications to bring additional rich media content to pri-med.com, will provide added value to our existing community of clinicians.”

Collaboration is the key to meeting the needs of today’s clinician community.  By working with Accela Communications, clients can develop highly engaging content then gain additional exposure for their content on pri-med.com.  Pri-Med hosts and markets the content while AccelaCast manages the usage tracking and reporting. As a result, clients gain greater reach and clinicians gain more dynamic content.
